Finance-process review
Map how a sale, purchase, stock movement and payment reach the ledger. Identify who approves each transaction and which reports management needs.
Accounts connected to operations
A connected ERP should make the numbers clearer, not harder to explain. SAIF helps UAE businesses set up and use Odoo Accounting so sales, purchasing, stock and payments lead to reliable books, VAT records and management reports.
Existing Odoo file? We can review the finance setup before suggesting a rebuild or migration.

A direct answer
An Odoo accountant makes sure the configured workflow produces usable financial records. SAIF can review account mapping, operational postings, opening balances, UAE VAT data, bank and stock reconciliations, reports and finance-team responsibilities. We are an authorised Odoo partner and support accounting work around the platform; a custom software build is a separately defined technical project.
That distinction matters. A sales order is not cash, a delivery is not always revenue, and a warehouse count is not automatically the amount shown on the balance sheet. The connections must be tested and explained.
Finance-side scope
From a focused accounting review to ongoing bookkeeping, we define the modules, source records, test cases and approvals before work starts.
Map how a sale, purchase, stock movement and payment reach the ledger. Identify who approves each transaction and which reports management needs.
Review the applicable Odoo edition and version, company structure, chart of accounts, journals, taxes, fiscal positions, invoice data and user roles.
Reconcile source books before moving approved accounts, contacts, open receivables and payables, stock values and other balances.
Test actual transaction types, reconcile VAT and bank accounts, investigate exceptions and prepare a traceable month-end close.
Maintain agreed records and management reports, train finance users and review changes when the operational workflow evolves.
Assess structured invoice fields, data owners, credit-note rules and the required connection to a UAE Accredited Service Provider.
Why the connection matters
Odoo can join departments, but each hand-off still needs a rule, an owner and a reconciliation. For a trading company, the workflow is more than “install Accounting and Inventory.”
For example, a distributor may sell stock on credit, deliver it next week and receive payment a month later. We test when revenue, cost of sales, VAT, receivables and cash appear—and whether inventory valuation agrees to the physical and source records.
Implement, migrate or repair
Before a new Odoo setup, we ask which legal entity owns each transaction, how orders become invoices, whether stock is valued in the system, what is approved before posting and which reports the owner actually uses. We confirm the Odoo edition, version and existing customisations before committing to a method.
If the company is moving from Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books or spreadsheets, we agree a cutover date. The source trial balance, bank accounts, customer and supplier balances, stock values and VAT control account should be reconciled before approved opening data is imported. The first Odoo close should tie back to that sign-off.
If Odoo is already live but the accounts are unreliable, a review can identify posting rules, tax mappings, unmatched payments or inventory differences without assuming a complete rebuild is necessary.

Odoo documents a UAE fiscal localisation for accounts, tax groups, fiscal positions and reports. The installed modules and functions differ by version and edition, so we verify the actual system rather than assuming every feature is active.
We check tax mapping against the business’s real domestic sales, exports, imports, credit notes and any applicable free-zone movements. Then we compare VAT reports with source invoices and the ledger’s tax accounts. For Corporate tax, reliable accounts may support a calculation, but the tax analysis and return remain separate work.
UAE e-invoicing
That is a system-specific question, not a yes-or-no answer based on the Odoo brand. Odoo documents electronic invoicing and Peppol features generally, but the UAE programme has its own structured data, onboarding and Accredited Service Provider requirements. A PDF or a generic Peppol setting alone should not be called a compliant UAE solution.
SAIF can review customer and supplier identifiers, invoice and credit-note data, tax codes, user approvals and ledger reconciliation. The technical team and selected provider should demonstrate the exact UAE-format exchange, validation, failure handling and portal process for the company’s version and rollout phase.

System fit
Stock movements, purchasing, sales and cost of sales need a controlled route into accounts. Inventory quantities and values must be reconciled.
Company boundaries, access, intercompany transactions and each entity’s tax registrations must be designed before reporting is trusted.
Work orders, billing stages, employee time or expenses may need to connect to revenue and project-margin reporting.
A lighter system may fit better if there are few integrations or operational workflows. SAIF also supports Zoho Books, Xero and other platforms.
We do not recommend a platform solely because of our partner status. The decision should reflect your existing data, team, controls, integrations and total cost of ownership.
Common questions
These are the questions owners and finance teams typically need answered before appointing an accountant or ERP implementation team.
SAIF is an authorised Odoo partner and has an Odoo Accounting Firms profile. We focus on accounting design, UAE tax data, reconciliations and finance-team support. Custom development or extensive technical integrations are scoped separately with suitable specialists.
Yes. We review the business process and current Odoo version, then agree the accounting configuration, data migration, test transactions, controls, reports and training. The exact modules and technical work depend on the business and are specified before the project begins.
Odoo can connect operational applications with accounting. The outcome depends on how sales, purchasing, inventory valuation, invoicing and payment workflows are configured. We test representative transactions and reconcile stock and ledger balances instead of assuming that an enabled module produces correct accounts.
Odoo documents a UAE fiscal localisation with accounts, taxes and reporting capabilities. Correct VAT still depends on the company’s actual supplies, tax mapping, supporting invoices, reconciliation and return review. Confirm the installed modules and your Odoo version.
Do not treat an Odoo report as a completed tax filing. Its financial and tax data can support review and preparation, but the applicable tax position, adjustments, return and submission need a separate check under the current FTA process.
Do not assume that a generic Peppol feature or PDF invoice is the complete UAE solution. Confirm the exact Odoo version, UAE structured invoice format, required data fields and an Accredited Service Provider connection for the applicable rollout. SAIF can help prepare the accounting data and coordinate the finance-side tests.
We can assess a controlled cutover from those systems. We first reconcile the source trial balance, bank accounts, open items, VAT and inventory where relevant. The approved migration scope determines what historical detail or opening positions are moved.
Yes. We can review unexplained stock values, posting rules, tax codes, duplicate contacts, unreconciled payments and reports that do not agree to the underlying transactions, then propose a scoped correction plan.
No. Module choice should follow the workflows and reports the business needs. A services company may not need the same inventory controls as a distributor. Excess modules and customisations add maintenance and migration work.
Yes, where agreed. We define who enters and approves transactions, who owns bank and stock reconciliations, how exceptions are resolved and which reports SAIF delivers each month.
That depends on operational complexity, integrations, inventory or project requirements, team capability, existing data and total implementation effort. SAIF also supports Zoho Books, Xero and other systems, so we assess the fit before recommending a move.
Entity count, Odoo edition and version, modules, customisations, source-data quality, transaction volume, inventory complexity, testing, training and ongoing responsibilities all affect the scope. Subscription, technical implementation and SAIF’s accounting work should be identified separately.
