SAIF Chartered Accountants · Sharjah

Auditors and Chartered Accountants in Sharjah

Audit, accounting and UAE tax support for Sharjah mainland and free-zone businesses—with a local branch in Hamriyah Free Zone and a connected UAE team.

A practical starting point

The right scope begins with your business—not a generic checklist.

A Sharjah trading company, a factory in Hamriyah and a consultancy in Shams may have different records, reporting needs and recipients for their financial statements.

SAIF Chartered Accountants helps businesses identify the work required, prepare reliable records and agree deliverables before the deadline becomes urgent. We support annual audits, outsourced accounting, VAT, Corporate tax and focused advisory work. The proposed service depends on your legal entity, licence, transaction profile and intended use of the report.

For a mainland business, start with its licence and company documents. For a free-zone entity, check that authority’s current auditor appointment and submission route. If a bank, investor or group company needs the report, confirm its format and timing as well. Sharjah Economic Development Department provides mainland licensing services; each free zone administers its own procedures.

Annual audit in Sharjah

What should be settled before the audit starts?

First confirm who needs the report and why. A licence renewal, shareholder request, lender covenant, group reporting package or transaction can each affect the timetable and supporting schedules. The auditor’s eligibility and appointment route should be checked against the relevant authority’s current requirements.

  • Agree the entity, financial year and accounting framework.
  • Reconcile the trial balance and major balance-sheet accounts.
  • Prepare evidence for revenue, inventory, receivables, payables and related parties where relevant.
  • Confirm the signatory, report recipient and submission method.

SAIF Zone’s published renewal form, for example, describes audited-financial-statement submission for FZE and FZC companies. It is not a universal rule for every Sharjah licence.

Mainland and free-zone requirements are not interchangeable.

Each authority and legal form has its own process. These focused guides help you start with the correct entity rather than treating every Sharjah licence alike.

Common questions

Sharjah audit and accounting FAQs

Short answers to the first questions businesses usually ask. The final requirement depends on your documents and the relevant authority.

Where is the SAIF Chartered Accountants office in Sharjah?

Our Sharjah branch is at E2-115F, Hamriyah Free Zone, Sharjah. Please contact us before visiting so we can arrange the right specialist for your question.

Do all Sharjah companies need an annual audit?

There is no single answer for every Sharjah business. The legal form, licence, free-zone rules, financing arrangements, shareholders and intended recipient can affect the requirement. We review those facts before proposing the audit scope.

Can you audit a Sharjah free-zone company?

We support businesses in Hamriyah Free Zone, SAIF Zone, Shams, SRTI Park and Sharjah Publishing City. Auditor eligibility, appointment and report-submission conditions should be checked for the relevant authority and entity before work begins.

Is SAIF Chartered Accountants the same as SAIF Zone?

No. SAIF Chartered Accountants is an independent professional firm. SAIF Zone is the Sharjah Airport International Free Zone authority. The similar initials do not mean the firm is part of the authority.

Can you handle accounting, VAT and Corporate tax together?

Yes, we can discuss a coordinated scope for bookkeeping, VAT, Corporate tax and audit preparation. An independent audit remains a separate assurance engagement with its own responsibilities and safeguards.

What should I send to request an audit quotation?

Start with the trade licence, legal form, financial year, latest financial statements or trial balance, the intended report recipient and your target date. Do not send passwords or sensitive records in an initial message.

Do I need to visit the Sharjah office?

Not always. An initial scope discussion can be arranged by telephone or online. The engagement plan will set out document access, any site visit and reporting milestones.
